The competition has been revamped for 2017, with most matches taking place in July and August during the school summer holidays. Therefore, Madsen hopes his side can attract large attendances.

“It gives kids and families a great chance to come and cheer us on,” he said. “The Blast is all about excitement, and the atmosphere at our ground can be great. Having such support at home will be crucial to us.”

Tickets for all seven home games, which start on July 8, are on sale now.
