Bargate Rovers are in seventh heaven

BARGATE Rovers were one of two teams in division one to hit seven goals.

Rovers achieved it away at Mickleover RBL Reserves who failed to score.

For Bargate Dean Corney hit a hat-trick in the 7-0 win with the other goals coming from Dave Kinder, Tom Lewis, Ash Hargreaves and Martin Kemp.

Punjab United were the other team to score seven and as a result they beat visiting Woolley Moor United 7-4.

Ripley Town and Tibshelf drew 1-1 at Nottingham Road with Jonathan Webb bagging the Ripley goal.

Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves had goals from Mark Walker and Richard Elliott to thank for a 2-1 win over Little Eaton at Highfield Road.

Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure Reserves defeated Rowsley ‘86 Reserves 6-0 thanks to goals from Martin Savage (3), Shane Gordon (2) and Owen Brown.

Pastures went down 3-0 at home to Holbrook St Michaels Reserves and Derby Singh Brothers lost 3-2 to Allestree.

Once again Matlock Sports scored first in the Premier Division and actually led defending champions Allenton United for over 30 minutes in their Premier Division match before finally losing 6-1.

Josh Timmis gave Matlock that lead before goals from Danny O’Connell (2), Nathan Sandar (2), Adam Birch and Connor Domachowski decided where the points were to go.

Fraser Murray scored the only goal of the game to enable HolbrookSt Michaels to beat Melbourne Dynamo while Willington, for whom Lewis Bradley scored, lost 2-1 at home to Cromford.

In division two, Wirksworth Town Reserves recorded a first win of the season as they beat Chellaston Reserves 2-1. James Newton and Gary Dunmore on his debut hitting the target.

James Leatherland scored the Bargate Rovers goal as they lost 2-1 to Wirksworth Ivanhoe while Curtis Baker scored the Hilton Harries goal in a 4-1 home defeat against Pastures Reserves.

Aaron Weightman and Matt Edwards scored for Mackworth St Francis as they lost 3-2 to Derby Royals Reserves.

Declan Jennings scored both of the Allenton United Reserves goals as they beat Roe Farm 2-1.

Dan Liddell bagged a brace of goals and Dan Buckley and Calvin McReadie one each to enable Little Eaton Reserves to beat visitors Punjab United Reserves 4.1
