Bargate Rovers took the honours from their local derby with Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves on Saturday in heavy conditions at the Manor Ground.
Bargate came away from the Midlands Regional Alliance Division One fixture with a 3-2 win.
Tom Devere-Smith, Tom Lewis and Paul Robinson scored for Bargate while Guy Wilding and Mark Waghorn replied for Swanwick.
Sadly, Bargate Rovers Reserves were unable to replicate last Saturday’s success and lost 7-0 to Little Eaton Reserves, who had seven different scorers. Beaucham, Buckley Smith, Blood, Liddle, Fowler and Beale all got on the scoresheet.
There was a great victory for Swanwick Pentrich Road as they beat champions-elect Allenton United 2-1 to complete the double over the high-flying United. An own goal and a strike from Shane Bookerfield gave Swanwick their victory.
It was a high scoring day in the Derbyshire Dales with Wirksworth Town showing the way by beating Newmount 7-2. Carl Moore scored three in the win, Toby Howard two, and Ben Waterfall and Rob Inkle each added one goal.
Meanwhile, Matlock Sports beat Punhab United 5-0. Callam Lytham was the hat-trick hero.
Rowsley 86 were more like their normal selves as they won 3-nil playing Chellaston.Nick Baker,two,and Andy Roome scoring the Rowsley goals.
Cromford,too,had that winning feeling as they beat Mickleover RBL 2-1 with goals from Alex Staham and Anthony Fay.
The only loss was suffered by Wirksworth Town Reserves who travelled to Punjab United Rserves and lost 4-2.
