Battling Belper are out of cup

Belper Town produced a battling display on Tuesday night as they were knocked out of the Derbyshire Senior Cup at League Two side Chesterfield, losing 4-2.

Shaun Tuton’s volley gave the Nailers the lead on 11 minutes and Jon Froggatt hit the bar ten minutes later before a Chesterfield penalty levelled the scores.

Goals either side of the break pushed the home side into a 3-1 lead.

Steve Warne reduced the deficit and then Simon Harrison missed a penalty.

Chesterfield eventually wrapped it up with a fourth goal.
