Hucknall Rolls Leisure turned on the second half style to defeat Belper United 4-2.

The home side took the lead on 23 minutes before Belper levelled on 39 minutes when a great run down the left by Evan Garnett saw the balled squared to Nick Murray who slotted home from the six yard box.

But Belper had to no answer to the second half onslaught as Hucknall turned on the style.

It was a result that Belper boss Paul Postlethwaite had few arguments with.

“I can’t complain about my team’s efforts and commitment today,” he said. “We put everything into the game, but unfortunately didnt get the result we wanted. We will dust ourselves down and go again. ‘

Postlethwaite had to make numerous changes for the trip with defenders Shaun Roulston, Scott Slater and Jamie Sparkes all missing.

Tim Perry and the suspended Sam Vickers were also unavailable and Jordan Ball has gone to Sweden.

But Louis Mundin, Tristan Spencer and Ryan Wheatcroft all started as did new signing Nick Murray.

The game started cagey on a very sicky pitch without any real goalmouth action to talk about for the first 20 minutes, before Hucknall broke the deadlock and Nick Murray made it all square as Belper dominated possession.

United came out after half-time and immediately took the lead after Tristan Spencer successfully stabbed home following a goalmouth scramble.

United were looking to dominate and take all three points now, but the game completely swung the other way.

Hucknall equalised five minutes later from an excellent free-kick, which was deflected passed the stranded Scott Whittingham.

United were dominating possession without hurting Hucknall and Hucknall took the lead after 74 minutes from the penalty spot after Tristan Spencer upended an attacker in the box.

Belper United tried to push for a equaliser, but Hucknall secured all three points on 90 minutes when they broke away and smashed home from the edge of the area.
