Early start in FA Trophy

The Nailers travel to Curzon Ashton on Saturday to contest an FA Carlsberg Trophy second qualifying round tie.

Curzon have, until recently been at the top of the Evo-Stik NPL Division One North and lie second in the table although they have games in hand over current leaders Skelmersdale United.

last Saturday lowly Cammell Laird held them to a 0-0 draw at the Tameside Stadium, but the form book is generally a poor prediction of what is likely to happen on the day.

Because of a firework display taking place close to the ground early on Saturday evening, the tie will now kick-off at 2.00pm.

There is a supporters’ coach leaving the Triangle at 10.45am and if anyone wishes to travel then please contact Neil Laughlin on 07866 388932 to book a place.

Assuming that there is a result on Saturday then the Nailers will face Leek Town on Tuesday evening (November 8) at Christchurch Meadow.
