Holbrook Sports’ youth section is keen to expand further next season and is on the lookout for talented local players, coaches and managers to join its ranks.
The club currently runs sides at under 18s Saturday Junior, under 18s Sunday Junior, and Under 16s Saturday Junior levels.
Ideally, it would like to run additional teams at under 12s to under 16s levels next season and, if the demand is there, maybe even additional teams at the younger end of the age spectrum.
If there is enough take-up, the club is happy to have teams for girls as well as boys.
Junior secretary Amanda Bradley commented: “Holbrook Sports has been prominent in senior regional football and had many successes along the way.
“But, like any organisation, Holbrook has to look to the future and the obvious weakness of the club was the lack of junior footballers from the local community playing for the senior teams. It was decided we should get back to grass roots. So, with with the help of our close network of friends and supporters, we launched our youth section at the start of this season. All three sides have been very successful in their respective divisions, with the added bonus of two cup finals.
“Holbrook Sports now feel the time is right to give more local youngsters, coaches and managers the opportunity to become part of the club and the club to become a true part of the community with a full complement of junior teams under the Holbrook Sports banner.”
