Holbrook Sports U14s bounced back with a 3-0 demolition of arch rivals Sherwin.

Having lost the previous week, Holbrook started in determind fashion as they looked to end the disappointment.

Wingers Lewis Parkin and Ted Clarke proved once again their ability to beat their man giving striker James Hawley three or four excellent opportunities to open the scoring.

Sports dominated the remainder of the half giving Sherwin little time to play with Brad Falconbridge excelling at the heart of the defence.

The second half started in the same vein, with the home side looking the more likely team to score.

And it was a short wait until the first goal went in when Joel Heeley scored from a Luis Bates corner.

Sports continued to dominate the second half and went 2-0 up with a free kick from the edge of the box by centre forward James Hawley after more good work from Joel Heeley to draw the foul.

At 2-0, Sherwin raised their game and went very close to an equaliser, but goalkeeper Jack Beighton produced a good save and Joe Bell cleared his lines.

With 10 minutes left the game was wrapped up when James Hawley made no mistake after good work from Ted Clarke.

First team coach George Bell said: “We are really proud of the lads. We were all disappointed after last weeks result, but we bounced back in style and everyone of them can be proud.”
