Heanor Town Res 2
Teversal Res 2

Liam Knifton’s predatory instincts earned Heanor Town a valuable point.

But it was man-of-the-match Sean Pickworth who kept his side in the game with a series of exceptionally fine saves, including four in the first quarter of an hour.

Teversal took the lead from the spot on 17 minutes after Daniel Bradley was harshly adjudged to have handled and Simon Groves’ spot-kick beat Pickworth despite him getting both hands to the ball.

A splendid through ball from Callum Hood was latched onto in a flash by Knifton to rifle the equaliser past Sheffield United trialist Daniel Hartshorne after 58 minutes.

But seven minutes later Ryan Baldwin was on hand to hook the ball beyond Pickworth and slam it into an empty net from a right wing cross to restore the visitors’ lead.

The equaliser arrived on 88 minutes when Barber set up Knifton to rattle home a deserved point.
