New bosses for new season at Ambergate FC

Ambergate FC are hoping for another improved season that would result in promotion after narrowly missing out last season.

And Dave Kinder and Matthew Magill are the men in charge of guiding Ambergate to their goal. Matt became player manager for the new season after Jeff Baldwin stepped aside to become chairman and bought in Dave to add his experience at higher levels.

Kinder became available after deciding to have at least a season out of eleven-a-side football due to injuries.

Dave plied his trade as goalkeeper for Graham street Prims last season, and is a former Holbrook St Michaels number one.

Ambergate also have the Greyhound Belper to thank for a new sponsorship which has seen them receive two new kits for the new season!

After competing well in the Stan Brewster memorial tournament against higher level teams, Ambergate hope to be in the mix for promotion again this season, and six new additions to the squad will give them extra quality to hopefully succeed in doing so!

Ambergate start the new MRADivision Two season on Saturday, August 11 with a home game against Newhall United Reserves. They travel to face Punjab United Reserves on Monday, August 13.
