FIXTURES all through the county have taken a battering in recent weeks due to bad weather and last weekend was no different as only two teams survived waterlogged pitches.
Those games were Riddings rovers against AFC Lea Holloway and Shirebrook Rangers’ home game against Chesterfield Town.
Chesterfield’s 2-0 win over Shirebrook put them level on points in division one with Rangers, both teams with 30 points with Shirebrook slightly edging it though with a better goal difference.
In Division Two, Riddings Rovers mananged a 2-1 home win against AFC Lea Holloway which puts them just outside of the play-offs with only two league games left.
Codnor Miners Arms, have already been crowned champions and they will promoted with either Riddings Rovers or Matlock Sports, either of whom can finish in the runners-up spot yet.
