First win is worth the wait
Appointed in September, Bargate Rovers Reserves’ manager Matt Butler had to wait until the first Saturday in November to see his charges win in the Midlands Regional Alliance.
This they did by defeating Hilton Harriers 3-1 with goals from Shane Briddon, Robert Gregory and Tom Deviliers-Smith.
For Ambergate though, it was business as usual as they beat Roe Farm 6-2. Rich Clark,three, Andy Stevenson,two, and Craig Tipton banged in their goals.
Little Eaton Reserves’ return to action saw them win 5-2 over Newhall United Reserves.
Danny Buckley,two,Daniel Liddle,Paul Blood and Paul Young scored the Eaton goals. A
llestree lost 3-1 away at Wirksworth Town.
