Belper Marlins secure more than 100 medals at Derbyshire County Championships

Swimmers from Belper Marlins claimed more than 100 medals during the Derbyshire County Championships.

The club picked up 25 golds, 46 silvers and 37 bronze medals as 72 per cent of all swims smashed personal best times at the Arc Leisure Centre in Matlock.

There were impressive performances from Cameron Haynes in the 400m &and 1500m front crawl, Katy Dymond in the 400m and 800m front crawl and 100m breaststroke.

Ailish Adams, Sam Brookes, William Brookes, Howie Barden, Dean Smith and Harvey Waddingham all performed well in the 100 front crawl.

Elliot Stubbs turned in a good swim in the 50m and 100m backstroke, while Caitlin Oram, Rachel Ainley and Sarah Dymond in the 100m fly and Joshua Horobin (100m breaststroke) and Casper Raynard (1500m free) also caught the eye.
