BELPER swimmer Ben Stone-Payne has taken to swimming like a duck to water.
The eight-year-old has been swimming for four years and his form has rocketed over the past few months, so much so that he gained numerous trophies at the Phoenix Swimming Club championships.
Ben, a Belper St Johns School pupil, scooped top places in all of the events he took part in.
The talented youngster took first places in the 25-metre breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly and narrowly missed out on a club record when he also won the freestyle.
By achieving wins in all of his four races, Ben was also presented with The Whitlam Cup and The Salver Tray for being the best boy and scoring the most points on the day out of all the competitors.
