Derbyshire badminton players claimed four National titles this weekend at the 21st English National Master Championship.

Pride of place went to Lee Clapham, who picked up two titles in the Over 35 Mens’ Doubles with Derbyshire teammate Simon Shaw at the Hertfordshire Sports Village at Hatfield.

He then won the Over 35 Mixed Doubles with Lynne Swan (Essex) the following day.

Sarah Pulley gave herself the best possible birthday present when she won her first National title on Friday as she took the Ladies’ Over 35 Singles title

Linda Wood continued her excellent Singles season to take the Ladies Over 55 National singles title to add to the World Silver she achieved in September.

In the Ladies Over 60 Doubles Janet Fletcher and Margeurite Butt (Devon) were runners-up to the number one seeds Bartlett and Bridge.
