Belper badminton ace Janet Fletcher has been enjoying more success.

Following recent success in the European Championships, Janet and playing partner Bob Bell, from Cornwall, were selected for the Team England Masters Squad, to play the 2012 Nations Badminton Cup which was held at Medway Park , based at Gillingham in Kent.

This year , England hosted the two- day Nations Cup tournament , which is played on a round robin basis.

The other countries taking part in the tournament were Sweden, Holland and the holders Denmark , and the event involved the top Masters players from the five age bands, from ages between 40 and 65.

England won all three matches to regain the trophy, defeating Denmark convincingly 16-4 in the deciding match.

After the Nations Cup was completed, many of the international players stayed on over the weekend to enhance the entry for the Kent Master Gold Tournament.

It was there that Janet Fletcher continued her run of good form by winning both the Womens Over 60s Singles and Over 60s Mixed Doubles titles.

This followed on from Janet’s earlier success in the tenth European Seniors Badminton Championships, held in Sofia in September, where Janet and Bob were involved in a gold medal-winning display there.
