Belper Marlin Swimming Club took top prize as the best supported club at the City of Derby Open Meet.

This was due reward for the effort from swimmers and parents alike as the mighty Marlins did what they do best according to a spokesman for the club, and that is to “Be Loud and Proud.”

The swimmers who attended were also on song. Casper Raynard took first in his age group, William Brooke second in his and Phoebe Barden seconnd in hers. L

There were lots of personal bests that came clattering down under the cheers of the parents and their were plenty of top six placings to celebrate.

Connor Osin recorded a personal best in his 100 Individual medley short course, which was a Midland time.

The club spokesman added: “This takes him into a whole new realm of competition, so well done to Connor! Thanks to our judges and team managers who attended the meet and helped keep the gala running as the unsung heroes of the pool!”
