BELPER Sports remain top of the league after a big win.

After the disappointment of narrowly losing the previous week’s cup quarter final against Codnor, Belper determinedly got back to winning ways in the league with their biggest win of the season.

Mickleover hardly got out of their half in the first period and were 7-0 down at half-time.

Dylan Garnett scored a first-half hat-trick, man of the match Joel Cain scored with a good strike along with Bradley Robinson, Oli Storr and Gian Luca.

The second half saw Belper firing on all cylinders as they strove for a clean sheet. Olly Darbyshire organised the defence well and Mickleover hardly had a shot.

Storr then tapped in his second after good work by Cain who then converted a penalty after Mizon was tripped.

Storr completed his hat-trick, Garnett added his fourth before Mizon netted a clinical stride and Josh Tonks ended the rout with an unstoppable long range shot.
