Belper United are into the Phoenix Floodlit Cup final after overcoming Eastwood Community FC 2-1 on Wednesday night.

An even first-half saw both sides miss good opportunities and Eastwood had a goal chalked off just before half-time after a foul on the goalkeeper.

Belper then took the lead early in the second-half with a fine curling effort from Sam Vickers, but Eastwood fought back and after Jake Danby and Frazer Dulson had seen efforts go close, Lee Bull placed a fine effort into the bottom corner of the net to level the scores.

Dave Worger fired too high for Eastwood soon afterwards but they were beaten in the 87th minute as another powerful strike from Vickers sealed Belper the win.

Belper will go on to face Clay Cross Town in the final.
