Back in Winster by popular demand is rising star jazz pianist Liam Dunachie, performing at an Autumn Supper in the Burton Institute, Winster, on Friday, November 9, from 7.30pm to 10pm.
Liam has performed in Rome and Budapest and at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and earlier this year at the Ludlow Festival. His compositions have been performed by Trinity College Choir, but it’s probably his brilliant improvisation which will most impress.
He only has to be given the title of a song for him to play it, make variations, turn it inside out, and return to the beginning – all with seamless virtuosity.
There is a two-course warming autumn supper provided by Gill Geddes, with a vegetarian option also available. Bring your own wine or other drinks (glasses provided), and you will have all the ingredients for a beautiful evening.
Tickets are £10 from Winster Post Office or by phone from 01629 650364. Please order them in advance and by November 8 at the latest. For more details see www.winster.org/jazz. This event is supported by Winster Entertainments Group.
