The magic of Christmas will come to Buxton Opera House when the European Ballet presents The Nutcracker at the venue on Sunday, December 4, at 3pm and 7.30pm.

The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara who dreams that her toys come to life. Many magical moments ensue in spectacular fashion: a fearsome battle between rats and toy soldiers, the spells of mysterious Drosselmeyer and the transformation of the Nutcracker into a handsome Prince, who takes Clara to the beautiful Kingdom of Sweets.

The piece also includes the stunning national dances from Arabia, China, Spain and Russia, all combining to provide an unforgettable celebration of excellent dancing and magical story.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, and enhanced by over 45 beautiful handcrafted costumes, The Nutcracker is a treat for audiences of all ages.
