Derby-born dancer and choreographer Joe Miller has joined the teaching team at the LIPA:14-19 Academy – the performing arts Saturday programme for children and young people run by Derby College as part of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts outreach programme.
Joe has been working on the professional stage for over 15 years, touring the globe and most recently has been as principal dancer in the world famous Irish dance show Spirit of the Dance which has been on world tour.
Joe’s other credits include the China tour of Red Hot Broadway; Shake, Rattle ‘n’ Roll and Hooray for Hollywood USA tour; and dancing in the X Factor shows for Israeli television. He has also worked with celebrities such as Dolly Parton and The Osmonds and has also taken on the role of Dance Captain and Company Manager for various shows with Spirit Productions.
LIPA:4-19 Academy Principal Maria Banks said: “We are delighted Joe is joining the team which is now approaching its third year in Derby. We welcome a host of talented children and young people every Saturday morning at the Joseph Wright Centre to develop their skills in dance, music and drama.”
