BELPER will have a brush with royalty next month.
There are two events with a royal feel to them planned.
The first one is on Thursday, February 2. It is a charity quiz session with an emphasis on the Queen and British royalty.
The quiz master will be Belper Mayor Cllr Alan Cox.
All proceeds from the event will go to the mayor’s chosen charity, which is the Herbert Strutt Charity Trust.
It costs £10 for a team of four. The event will be held at Nailers, Belper Town Football Club, Christchurch Meadow, Bridge Street, starting at 7pm. Places are limited so teams have to book by calling 01773 822116.
The second event with a royal feel is a guided walk led by Adrian Farmer charting the town’s royal connections.
The two-hour walk on Saturday, February 4, starting at 2pm costs £2.50 per person, with the under-12s a £1. Walkers should meet at the boat shed, Belper River Gardens. Places are limited so walkers need to call 01773 822116 to book.
