Flashing blue lights, bells and sirens will greet visitors to Crich Tramway Village on Sunday, August 7, as the award-winning family attraction hosts its annual Emergency Vehicles Day.
The period street will once again echo to the sounds of an emergency as fire engines, ambulances and police cars make haste to various ‘incidents’.
At set times throughout the day, convoys of emergency vehicles will provide endless photo opportunities with the historic trams.
Among the many vehicles on display will be a range of vintage fire engines and ambulances as well as some more modern appliances.
Marketing manager Laura Greaves said: “This promises to be great family day out. Children love to see the old ambulances, police cars and fire engines. There will be plenty of variety in the vehicles on display and the chance to see them in action driving along our period street, acting out realistic emergency scenarios from days gone by.”
