BELPER mum Becky Rowell has invited people to join her for her belly dancing classes.

Becky, 38, of Parkside, has said people need not be self-conscious or worry about being good at the dancing – they just need to give it a go as it is fun to learn.

She took it up after having had her three children as she wanted to do “something just for me”. Joining a class in Belper, she eventually took on the role of tutor when the teacher left four years ago.

She runs classes on Thursdays at the Whitemoor Centre in Belper from 7.45pm to 9.15pm.

The sessions usually get around 20 people aged from six to 70 from all walks of life, including nurses, a doctor and dinner ladies.

Children can go, but need to be accompanied by an adult, said Becky. For more information contact her on 01773 823166.
