ACCLAIMED pianist Alessandro Taverna will be performing a Sunday morning recital at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on January 15, from 11am.
This upbeat recital gives you a chance to hear why he has been so widely praised and begins with Beethoven’s Sonata No 13 and Chopin’s Fourth Scherzo, a fleet of foot example of the composer at his elegant best.
Two richly coloured pieces by Scriabin and Messiaen express contrasting spiritual visions before Lizst’s Tarantelle Di Bravura ends the concert with brilliant high spirits.
Tickets cost £10, including tea/coffee and cake. Call the box office on 0115 9895555.
