All-Russian programmme by touring orchestra

The St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra will continue the Nottingham Classics season with a performance at the city’s Royal Concert Hall on Thursday, November 6.

The concert gets under way at 7.30pm and will feature three Russian works, conducted by Yuri Temirkanov.

The concert begins with Liadov’s short tone poem Kikimora and continues with Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Spanish soloist Leticia Moreno.

The second half is given over to Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony, the Pathetique, .
