IN a change to the advertised programme, the Orchestre National d’Ile de France will be replaced by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for a concert taking place at Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Tuesday, March 1, from 7.30pm.
The programme for this altered concert will see performances of works by Mozart, Rachmaninov and Dvorak. First up will be the bustling and energetic overture to Mozart’s Marriage Of Figaro, one of his most popular concert openers. Then there’s Rachmaninov’s much-loved Third Piano Concerto, with soloist Anna Vinnistkiaia, and finally one of the most familiar and beloved symphonies in the whole repertoire, Dvorak’s Ninth, ‘From The New World’.
The orchestra will be conducted by Terje Mikkelsen and tickets are available by calling the box office on 01332 255800.
