The Live and Local season at Crich Glebe Field Centre is to continue next month when the group Spaghetti Swing perform there.
On Sunday, January 25, from 7.30pm, you can enjoy classic Italian wwing and jazz - with pasta cooked on stage.
Direct from Italy, this charismatic trio brings a unique blend of smouldering 50s Italian jazz and swing, comedy, and pasta dishes cooked live for a handful of their lucky audience.
Some of the music this band plays will be familiar to you, such as classic Italian numbers like Volare and O Solo Mio, but most of it will be new - that doesn’t matter, as they play easy-going swing and jazzy foot-tappying tunes.
The music will be played on harmonica, piano and double bass with percussion and vocals.
Luigi is a fantastic frontman with banter to die for, supported by other musicians who have larger-than life personalities and great back stories to tell.
This act is great fun, with the unexpected often happening. All in it adds up to a rollicking good evening.
If you’re looking for an authentic Italian flavoured evening, this is it.
The themes of the music are jealousy, rivalry and revenge, all performed with a knowing twinkle in the eye.
Tickets to see Spaghetti Swing in action at Crich Glebe Field Centre are £10 for adults (aged 16 and over) in advance or £12 on the door (if available).
To obtain your tickets, you can call David Lane on 01773 853260 or alternatively you can email email@example.com or collect them in person from Crich Glebe Field Centre reception.
