NOTTINGHAM Symphony Orchestra offer up an all-French programme of music for their concert at the city’s Albert Hall on Saturday, May 26.
There’s a double dose of Berlioz thanks to performances of the Roman Carnival Overture and the Royal Hunt And Storm.
Other pieces are Faure’s Pavane, and three works by Maurice Ravel, Tzigane, Bolero and the music to the ballet Daphnis And Chloe.
Kristine Balanas will be the violin soloist in Tzigane and the orchestra, to be conducted by Derek Williams, will be joined by Sinfonia Chorale, Derby Bach Choir and The Derwent Singers.
