Get on track for Ghost Trains gig

MATLOCK venue Twenty Ten plays host to a gig by Chesterfield-based band The Shambles on Friday, January 28.

The Shambles perform a wide range of music including soul, funk and jazz, to name just three styles, featuring tracks by Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, James Brown, Candi Statton, Bill Withers and Imelda May. The gig starts at 8.30pm and entry is free.

Then, on Saturday, January 29, there’s the eagerly-awaited visit of Ghost Trains. The band has been warmly reviewed by BBC music, played at the Viper Rooms in LA and has two albums available via i-tunes. They have also played alongside The Levellers at 2010 Acoustic Festival of Britain.

In addition, there will be two support acts on Saturday, kicking off at 8.30pm with free entry.
