Harp ace Esther in Belper gig

Scottish harpist Esther Swift returns to The Queens Head in Belper for a performance there on Thursday, December 8.

Although hugely influenced by the sounds and landscapes of her native Border Country, Esther’s entrancing and hypnotic compositions are infused with jazz, blues and classical strands. Her collaborations with fiddler Katriona Price in Twelfth Day and with Jennie Lindop in Horn have brought widespread recognition and broadcasts on Radios 2,3 and 6 where she was championed by Elbow’s Guy Garvey.

For this gig Esther will be supported by Belper’s own Robyn Johnson who brings her own unique brand of songwriting and performance.

Early bird tickets at £8 are available from the venue. Otherwise, admission is £10 on the night.
