It’s full steam ahead for this year’s Indietracks music festival, which takes place from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28.

In total, over 50 bands will be performing at the event, which will again be held at the Midland Railway, Butterley, on the outskirts of Ripley.

The popular event also features a wide range of DJs in action, plus an impressive selection of craft workshops.

The festival will kick off on the Friday night with performances from Scottish indie aces Bis, plus The Tuts, Big Wave and some of the DJs.

On Saturday, July 27, bands and musicians playing will be Camera Obscura, The Pastels, The Wave Pictures, The Brilliant Corners, Haiku Salut, The Secret History, Milky Wimpshake, The Magic Theatre, Emma Kupa, Cars Can Be Blue, The McTells, The Understudies plus 15 other artists, DJs and craft workshops.

There will another bumper day of musical entertainment on Sunday, July 28. Appearing will be Still Corners, Helen Love, The Wake, The Lovely Eggs, The Ballet, Kid Canaveral, Monnone Alone, Without Feathers, Martha, Another Sunny Day, Fear Of Men, Flowers, Making Marks plus 15 other artists, DJs and craft workshops.

To whet the appetite, festival have already released the annual Indietracks download album, featuring more than 40 songs from a wide selection of bands playing this year’s festival and including some exclusive tracks.

All proceeds go to the Midland Railway charity, and there is a minimum donation fee of £2, although organisers encourage you to donate what you can. It’s available from: http://indietracks.bandcamp.com
