The Dalesmen and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra are teaming up for a Swing And Sing concert at Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Saturday, November 3, starting at 7.30pm.
Audience members can expect a magical evening to celebrate The Dalesmen’s 25th anniversary and the 110th birthday of choir president and founder member Reg Dean.
This exciting evening features a massed choir of over 200 voices, with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra conducted by Reg’s son, Chris Dean.
The Dalesmen have recently performed with the renowned Operababes at Derby Cathedral.
They have sung with The Band Of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, Welsh soprano Samantha Hay and regularly perform with the Derwent Brass.
Formed in the Derbyshire Dales in 1987, they have grown into a successful group of 65 singers, who have raised thousands of pounds for charity.
Tickets are priced at £16.25, with under 16s getting in free with full paying adult.
