This Sunday (August 14) the hilltop woodlands of the Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath, will be echoing to the sounds of music.
The ten-piece ensemble from the award-winning Derwent Brass will return to the Terrace next to Treetops Visitor Centre at 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
The performances slot in between the Punch and Judy shows, bringing a very traditional British feel to a summer Sunday.
The ensemble performing a selection of popular favourites. The ensemble consists of nine brass players (three cornets, flugel horn, tenor horn, two trombones, euphonium and tuba) plus kit percussion.
The band has played in many great venues and in 2008 played alongside the world-famous Treorchy Male Voice Choir.
“We are very pleased to welcome back such a quality ensemble to The Heights of Abraham,” commented John Coulson, events manager. “The warm sounds of brass will, we hope, match the weather and will certainly be as evocative as the views out across the Derwent Valley”.
Normal admission prices to the Heights of Abraham apply: adult £12.50, child £8.80, senior £9.
