Belper Organ Club welcomes back Ian House to play live for their at their next concert night this month.
Ian is a popular concert musician who performs extensively throughout Europe and has built a strong reputation for his musical creativity.
Born and raised in Bristol as part of an extremely musical family, he started playing the keyboard when he was seven.
In the years that followed, he worked through his musical grades ultimately achieving a Performance Diploma from the London College of Music and Media.
At the age of 13 Ian was introduced to the theatre organ through a visit to the Thursford collection in Norfolk, England.
This inspired him to study the instrument further and he later went on to win the Young Theatre Organist of the Year competition in 2003.
After receiving coaching from many organists, including Len Rawle, David Lowe and Robert Rowley, Ian won through two divisions of the international competition held in Milwaukee and Los Angeles.
His Belper concert is on May 21 at 7.30pm at the Congregational Church on Green Lane in the town.
Entry is £6 for club members and £7 for non-members.
