Belper’s BB BlackDog are performing their first local gig of the year this weekend, in preparation for their local festival appearances at Bearded Theory and The Pentrich Rock and Blues.
Saturday, April 19, sees an evening of fun and music taking place at the Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath.
Yet again, the Steampunk fraternity come to the Grand Pavilion for a day of Victoriana, market stalls, tea duelling, music and much, much more.
Come and join in the fun as all are welcome. Victorian/fancy dress is encouraged but not compulsory.
From 12noon until 7pm, there is free entry, a selection of craft and trade stalls, a cafe, real ales, acoustic sets, fun and games.
Then from 8pm, the evening programme features a show including eight different burlesque acts. Although there is no nudity, parental guidance is advised as there will be adult humour. There is £5 entry on the door.
The acts taking part are:
The Real Housewives of Derbyshire
In addition, all the way From New York will be Lord Montague Jacques Fromage and the Steampunk Funk Bizarre.
An international purveyor of Victorian funk, rap and assorted lyrical conundrums, Monty mixes Victorian subject matter with a danceable funk backbeat, and there will also be two sets from BB BlackDog, all intertwined with the burlesque performances, for one long seamless evening of classic entertainment.
As always, proceeds from the market go towards the Save the Pavilion charity.
