THE Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall in Holloway is to host a performance of The Descent Of Man on Thursday, November 10.
This show from the Grand Theatre of Lemmings, working with Samuel Gardes, is an evening of chaotic, comedy madness based on the Darwin Awards, which are given to people who improve the human gene pool by removing themselves from it in remarkably stupid ways.
Add to that a giant book with a mind of its own and the stage is set for anarchy as fictitious characters spill out of the book’s pages and take to the stage.
Inspired by the work of Forkbreards Fantasy, the show mixes theatre, film and animation to create comedy around a multi-media book that is following its own evolutionary destiny.
The show is part of the ‘Live and Local’ autumn season in Derbyshire and starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Dave on 01773 856545.
