Dragon’s tale in university play

DERBY Theatre Studio stages two performances of The Dragon’s Daughter by students from the University of Derby at 11am and 2pm on Saturday, April 2.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there stood a tiny village nestled in the shadow of a great mountain.

Perched at the top of the mountain lived a fire-breathing dragon and this is where the story begins.

In the village below, a little boy called Hans spent his days imagining the most fantastic adventures. He would pretend to fight scary monsters, search for buried treasure, and slay fairytale dragons. But one starry night, a tiny ball of light fell from the sky, crashing to the ground with a silent thud. And there, lost in the darkness, was a real-life baby dragon.
