The latest in the monthly Comedy Nights at the Queen’s Head in Belper is to take place tonight (Wednesday, April 17).
The events, held upstairs at the Chesterfield Road-based venue, have been gaining quite a reputation in recent times for the quality of the acts appearing and this month should prove no different.
The acts taking part are Matt Hollins (Leicester Comedian of the Year 2004) and Owen Niblock, along with Lindsey Warnes Carroll with her live confessional doll show, Patrick Draper, Francis Jenkings, Billy McGuire, and your regular MC James Hately.
Previous events have featured everything from cutlery safety experts to professors of man studies and all manner of acts who you might not find appearing in your average club.
James Hateley explained: “We’ve featured some top acts including award winner Johnny Sorrow, Leicester Mercury Award winner Matt Hollins, who has come back for the latest comedy night, and star of Britain’s Got Talent Cal Halbert and more.
“It’s not your average comedy night and is best approached with an open mind, but we’ve got quite a few regulars and we like to think there’s something for everyone. “
The fun gets under way at 8.30pm and admission is £3.
