Frogs in Belper are still suffering after their regular breeding spot dried up.
The balancing pond on Pytchley Close, off John O'Gaunt's Way, has been dry since the water in the pond drained completely last year.

Resident Janice Critchely has been helping the frogs get to the pond safely since she moved the area four years ago. She said: "I'm still taking them over because there's nowhere else for them to go."

The idea behind the pond is that it collects rainwater and releases it back into the environment, but this only works if the pond is maintained by pipes.

The pipes were broken last year and have not been repaired.
