Review: A Murder is Announced
The Middle Ground Theatre Company have brought a sparkling performance of A Murder is Announced to the Buxton Opera House this week.
The residents of Chipping Cleghorn are surprised when an advertisement in a local newspaper says a murder will take place at Little Paddocks, (the home of Letitia Blacklock, played by the talented Diane Fletcher). Curiosity gets the better of them and the group gather at the appointed time. When the lights go out the gun is fired. (At this point the audience all gasped in horror!). The famous detective, Miss Marple is called in and left to solve the mystery of the killer! Nothing is quite as it seems, the innocent one turns out to be the guilty one!

The production features lavish sets and period costumes.
Go and see A Murder Is Announced at Buxton Opera House until Saturday, March 5.
