Black Friday is fast approaching and while the focus might be on everything from fashion to games consoles, the annual savings extravaganza can also throw up some decent deals on new cars.
While a few manufacturers and many individual dealers have specific Black Friday deals, we’ve taken a look at Auto Trader’s hottest offers, which pull together the best discounts from hundreds of dealers around the country, with savings of nearly £5,000 on some popular models.

Audi A6 Avant
Big, classy and refined, the Audi A6 estate is a handsome and versatile choice for drivers who aren’t sold on the allure of SUVs. And, according to Auto Trader’s figures, right now you can save an average of £4,900.
Volvo’s XC60 mid-sized SUV is a multiple award winner packed with safety features and oozing understated Scandinavian cool. It’s spacious, good looking and great for families with an active lifestyle, and right now there are savings of around £4,700 to be had.
BMW 2 Series
BMW’s rear-wheel-drive compact coupe comes with offers on everything from entry-level 1.5-litre 218s to the fearsome 3.0-litre straight-six M2 Competition. You can currently get an average of £4,400 off a 2 Series, but that will vary depending on the model you’re after.
The XE is a brand-new model, released just a few months ago, but dealers are offering an average of £4,700 off this Black Friday. There are currently more than 200 deals on brand new examples of Jag’s sports saloon, with a choice of 178bhp or 247bhp rear-wheel-drive models.
The Qashqai isn’t just one of Britain’s best-selling SUVs, it’s one of the country’s best-selling cars, full stop. Despite that demand there are still some deals to be found this week, with an average of £3,800 off the Sunderland-built crossover.
Another mid-sized executive saloon with some attractive reductions. There are more than 200 deals on this refined cruiser, with average savings of £4,300.
Vauxhall’s mainstay family hatchback has just been refreshed with updated technology and all-new engines that offer better economy and lower emissions. Auto Trader currently has 240 deals on this latest model, with an average of £3,100 off the RRP.
