A Royal spokesperson told the Derbyshire Times: “Like the rest of the country we have prepared our critical services by ensuring we can effectively run two high dependency units as the outbreak continues to rise – ensuring one is available to care for patients with suspected or confirmed Covid-19.
“We have no patients in hospital with confirmed Covid-19.
“We do have a high number of patients with a variety of respiratory illnesses, admitted following the Government’s new guidelines for swabbing suspected cases.

Hide Ad“We are staffing both units and all wards to capacity to ensure all patients in hospital for emergency care go to the right place at the right time,” the spokesperson added.
