Most recent NHS figures show no new Covid-19 deaths in Chesterfield

The coronavirus death toll has remained static as the latest figures from NHS England reveal no new deaths have been reported in Chesterfield.

This afternoon’s (Tuesday, July 7) statistics from NHS England show no more people have died from Covid-19 while being treated at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The total number of patients who have died after testing positive for the virus in Chesterfield hospitals since the crisis started in March still stands at 131.

Across the country, a further 36 people are reported to have lost their lives after contracting coronavirus while being cared for in hospitals in England.

So far, 28,940 people are reported to have died from Covid-19 in hospitals across the country.

Patients were aged between 53 and 98 years old – two of the patients who passed away had no known underlying health conditions.
