A BELPER woman has proved she certainly has green fingers.
Linda Stevens was a winner in the annual Amber Valley Housing’s gardening competition for its tenants. Linda came up trumps in the best communal garden category.
She received a certificate and gardening vouchers from the housing company for her efforts.
Sarah Whattam, community development manager at Amber Valley Housing, said: “We received twice as many entries as last year, which is a good indication of residents taking pride in where they live and looking after their surroundings.
“These tenants are a real inspiration and their stories help to show how gardening can bring joy to individuals and neighbourhoods as a whole.
“We’d like to thank everyone who entered and look forward to receiving more new entries again next year.”
Amber Valley has 5,500 properties in the Belper, Ripley, Heanor and Alfreton areas.
