4. Creswell Crags landowner waives rent during COVID-19 lockdown.
One of the area’s most unique heritage sites was handed a lifeline by the landowner to help it survive the Covid-19 crisis. The charity which furloughed most of its staff and launched a £50,000 public fundraising campaign, was given a helping hand as its landlord, the Welbeck Estate, agreed to give the organisation a rent holiday for the duration of the lockdown.
