This year trentbarton will be celebrating the social, economic and environmental benefits of these lifeline services.

Buses are good for our health according to bus users, good for the economy and good for the environment. Pre-Covid, bus passengers boosted the UK economy by £64 billion each year, as well as reducing congestion, pollution, loneliness and social isolation.

Claire Walters, Chief Executive of Bus Users UK the charity behind Catch the Bus Month said: “Buses are a lifeline for millions and bring huge health, social and environmental benefits to us all. It’s great to see trentbarton celebrating these vital services and encouraging more people to get on board.”

How does public transport help?

If 1 in 25 car journeys were made by bus, it would reduce CO2 by 2 million tonnes per year and would mean one billion fewer car journeys on our roads.

Tom Morgan from trentbarton said: “So, get on board with trentbarton and let’s make Catch the Bus Month 2023 the best yet.”
