Belper School is celebrating after its students toasted exam success on A-level results day.
The school’s sixth formers were praised by headteacher Martyn Cooper who says the achievements of the pupils were well earned after their hard work over the past two years.
He said: “Once again Belper School has achieved some pleasing A-level results.
“The school has overall maintained the level from last year where increases across the board were achieved.
“To sustain that level with another cohort is very pleasing.
“A huge well done to all students and staff who grafted exceptionally hard.
“Within the overall figures there are some stunning performances and some quite remarkable achievements which we should be very proud of.
“Particular mention should go to Matthew Pike who achieved the highest points score in the school with four A*-A grades.
“Also, Edward Cooke, Nathan Latymer, Joel Paisley, Meaghan Castledine, Zoe Chaffey and Sophie Mander who individually excelled securing a number of A*-B grades.”
