Members of the public can try out treading the boards in a performance of Shakespeare’s Pyramus and Thisbe on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

The production by 1623 Theatre Company, working with Strutt’s North Mill and the Friends of Belper River Gardens, will take place at Belper’s River Gardens.

Brave theatrical types will have two hours to prepare - with workshops from 1pm to 3pm in Strutt’s North Mill, followed by the performances on 4pm and 6pm on both days.

Tickets are on sale now from Strutt’s North Mill and cost £4 for adults and £2 for children, with refreshments included. The workshop is free of charge. To book tickets email info@belpernorthmill.org.uk or phone 01773 880474.
